Heat and Trail Blazers Earn First Wins After Player Arrests
The Miami Heat scored 86 opening half points against the Grizzlies
Miami Heat claimed a decisive 146-114 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in their first NBA game after player Terry Rozier was arrested for alleged unlawful sports betting.
Trail Blazers coach Billups was also detained in connection with a sweeping federal investigation into illegal gambling. The two individuals contest the claims.

"There's nothing more important to the NBA and its fans than the integrity of the competition," he told Amazon Prime. "And so I had a pit in my stomach. It was disturbing."

"It was brought to our attention by the regulators and the betting companies," he continued.
"We then looked into that situation and were very transparent regarding it. And while there was that aberrational betting, we, frankly, found no evidence.
"Federal authorities has subpoena power... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can do all kinds of things that the league office is unable to.
"So, we've been cooperating from that point. Naturally, what they revealed recently was an charge.
"And 30 months after, he still hasn't been convicted of anything, in justice to Terry.
"Obviously, it appears unfavorable, but he's been put on administrative leave, and so it is a compromise here between upholding rights and investigating."
