The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance

Young golfer preparing for significant tournament

The rising star boasts considerable social media presence

Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile backers when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates several golf courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He essentially told me to compete and have fun," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, so he's quite busy."

As an amateur, Kai has participated in only three events this year and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He advised me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge several most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials mentioned that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and has started an exclusive fashion and living label.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
