The relatives of teens lost after a tragic blaze at a bar in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an agonising period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for any details about their family members online.

The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Confirmed footage depict the roof structure igniting as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of 40 people and hurt another scores more. Officials noted on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with the process still underway to locate the final individuals.

In the interim, relatives have been taking to online platforms to request information about their friends who were at the bar that evening.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are still unconfirmed, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.
